CLAT LL.M is an All India Entrance Exam for LL.M admissions, with 22 participating National Law Universities (NLUs). The benefit of giving CLAT PG exam is twofold:-

- Jobs in participating Public Sector Units – There are many PSUs like ONGC, IOCL, PGCIL, etc which recruit the legal advisors through CLAT PG exam.

QUESTION PAPER FORMAT for CLAT
TOTAL MARKS: 150
- MCQs – 100 questions of 1 marks each
- DESCRIPTIVE – 2 question of 25 marks each (from topics of law and contemporary issues) (800 words per essay)
- TIME ALLOTTED: 2 hours (3 pm to 5 pm)
- NEGATIVE MARKING: The criteria for negative marking will be based on the formula 0.25 * 4 = 1 which means for every wrong answer 0.25 Marks will be deducted. Therefore, four wrong answers will lead to deduction of 1 mark.
COURSE DURATION
The duration of LL.M course is 1 year, with some colleges having trimester system and some having semester exams.
