ILICAT LL.M

The ILICAT LL.M entrance exam is conducted by the authority of Indian Law Institute in the month of June every year. Students who clear the written exam are called for Viva-Voce.

  • English language and general knowledge

Part 2: Law

  1. Jurisprudence
  2. Constitutional law
  3. Public international law
  4. Contract law
  5. Specific relief act
  6. Partnership
  7. Sale of goods act
  8. Law of torts
  9. Law of limitation
  10. Environmental law
  11. Indian penal code

Part 3: Subjective

  • Topics of law and contemporary issues to test legal writing skills of students

QUESTION PAPER FORMAT

TOTAL MARKS: 200

  1. MCQs (General, 40 marks): 40 questions of 1 mark each
  2. MCQs (Law, 100 marks): 100 questions of 1 mark each
  3. SUBJECTIVE (40 marks): 4 questions of 10 marks each = 40 mark

Viva-Voce (20 marks): Students clearing written exam will be called for viva-voce.

TIME ALLOTTED: 2 hours and 30 minutes

NEGATIVE MARKING: : 0.25 marks will be deducted in objective part for each incorrect answer.

COURSE DURATION

1 year LL.M programme comprising of 2 semesters.
